Is the treatment painful?

Microneedling is not meant to be painful. A topical numbing cream is applied before beginning the treatment to minimize any discomfort. Most would describe the treatment to be a slight pressure, “buzzing”, or prickling feeling. After the treatment your skin may feel warm and red similar to a mild sunburn, which normally subsides after a day or two.
